Bistro
Sonoma Saveurs, a new destination for food and wine lovers
located on historic Sonoma Plaza in Sonoma, California,
melds the visions of a trio of French-connected partners:
a producer, a chef, and an entrepreneur. Their paths crossed,
they became friends, and out of their mutual passion for food
and wine they created Sonoma Saveurs - a culinary adventure
with Provençal
atmosphere and international, multilingual flair.
Sonoma Saveurs is an intimate bistro housed in an
historic adobe building, which has witnessed Sonoma's
rich and rowdy history since the 1840s when it was built by
General Mariano Vallejo's brother-in-law Jacob Leese. Sonoma
Saveurs' historic setting has been transformed through artisan
décor which incorporates hand-crafted plastered walls;
copper and marble detailing; hand-crafted lighting fixtures
imported from France; a Spanish red marble and walnut bar; and
an open kitchen featuring a state-of-the-art rôtisserie.
The
menu features local artisan foods which can be enjoyed
in the quaint Provençal interior or outdoor garden patio,
and are available for take-out (picnic baskets too!). Poultry
and game rôtisserie; duck specialties including rôti,
burgers, foie gras, and pâtés; cheeses, soups,
salads, and sandwiches are paired with local,
limited production boutique wines.
