FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
TRIACCESS TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES THAT IT IS SHIPPING OVER 100,000
OF ITS UPDATED FLAGSHIP TAT6254C RFIC INTEGRATED, MULTISTAGE AMPLIFIERS
PER MONTH
SANTA ROSA, CALIFORNIA - October 1, 2007 - TriAccess
Technologies, a leading provider of CATV and FTTH RF specific radio
frequency integrated circuits (RFIC) for the amplification
of high quality multimedia content, today announced that the company
is currently shipping more than 100,000 units per month of its flagship
TAT6254C integrated dual output RF amplifiers. This RFIC is
fully compliant with JEDEC and Telcordia standards for highly reliability,
having far exceeded basic burn-in requirements through more than 2,000
hours of laboratory testing.
"This is a FTTH application-specific RFIC designed
for the Verizon-type RFM overlay deployments and CATV DOCSIS
(data over cable service interface specification) Passive Optical Network (PON) implementations," said
Brian Bauer, vice president, marketing, for TriAccess. "It is optimized
for CATV spectrum that is fiber deep, such as FTTH or
Fiber-to-the-MDU, where there are minimal actives and low noise is critical
for extending reach and satisfying optical link budgets. The TAT6254C
has a dual output for full support of RF detected AGC (Automatic
Gain Control). The AGC supported range is in excess of 30dB with excellent
gain flatness across the attenuation range, providing the industry's
best optical link flexibility.
"The TAT6254C CATV receiver is ideal for fiber-deep and FTTH applications.
It was developed as a general purpose FTTH receiver and offers
greater flexibility to provide the high amounts of gain required by GPON architectures," Mr.
Bauer continued. "This RFIC solution allows designers to
easily modify external circuit values to facilitate wider optical input
ranges, such as those needed in newer GPON systems."
About TriAccess Technologies
TriAccess Technologies, founded in May 2003, is a fabless video semiconductor company
that is privately funded. The company's products achieve up to 50% reduction
in power consumption, achieving economic and system design efficiencies
through integration, while providing 2-3 dB greater gain per
stage. TriAccess currently has more than 20 customers for its family
of RFIC products. The company has filed three patent applications
and two additional provisional applications for its proprietary solutions.
Investors include a group of telecommunications industry veterans led
by Telecom Valley pioneer Don Green, a founder of Advanced Fibre Communications
(now Tellabs), Eric Rossin, a founder of Alantro Communications, and
GLR Growth Fund of Scotts Valley. For more information, visit the company's
