TRIACCESS TECHNOLOGIES CONTINUES GROWTH AND EXPANDS TO A LARGER FACILITY TO FUEL DEVELOPMENT AND MEET INCREASED CATV MARKET DEMAND

Company Doubles its Product Portfolio, Relocates to a Larger Corporate Headquarters and Opens an Office in Asia to Be Closer to Suppliers and Customers

SANTA ROSA, CALIFORNIA – March 23, 2009.  TriAccess Technologies, a leading provider of CATV and FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) RFICs (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits) for amplifying high-quality multimedia content, announced its continued growth and the moving of its Santa Rosa based headquarters to a larger facility with three times the floor space.  Effective March 30th, the new company address is: TriAccess Technologies, 2235 Mercury Way, Suite 210, Santa Rosa, CA  95407.

The additional floor space in TriAccess’ new facility will house an expanded design laboratory, product testing facilities and an enlarged prototype and demonstration board manufacturing capability.  The move will also permit the installation of needed new capital equipment to support each of these functions, as well as a customer orientation and exhibit center and expansion of office space for the company’s growing personnel roster.

“The cable TV world is gearing up for a number of major network upgrades in the coming years and the February-to-July all digital television conversion deadline is just one of them.  Key industry players are also accelerating plans to upgrade and extend their fiber-to-the-home networks that rely heavily on fiber-deep CATV infrastructure,” said Chris Day, TriAccess’ president and CTO.  “The new building allows TriAccess to both develop the products and service the needs of our expanding global customer base.  We’re very upbeat about the future of this industry and the position that our technology and products will play in its continued growth.”

TriAccess also revealed plans to double its existing product line from eight to 16 RFIC solutions by the end of the first quarter of 2009.  In addition to expanding its headquarters, TriAccess recently opened an office in Ipoh, Malaysia to facilitate its global operations and further strengthen its relationships with suppliers, packaging houses, and customers located in the Asia-Pacific region.  “The market for efficient, high-performance RFIC amplifiers to power the global CATV build-out is growing rapidly,” said Jim Kegerreis, TriAccess’ Chief Operating Officer.  “Many of our supply partners and more than half of our customers are located in or have major operations in the Asia Pacific.  While our technology and products are already highly sought after in the region, adding a dedicated facility in Malaysia demonstrates our commitment to make sure that our operations are aligned with our global business partners and customers.”

“Major system operators are moving full steam ahead with network expansion plans and capital investment for 2009,” added Mr. Day.  “More service offerings, higher data speeds, integrated voice and increased HDTV content are seen as requirements to stay competitive, yet consumers and operators demand that the per-subscriber costs continue to drop.  High-gain, low-noise RFIC amplifiers are critical at several stages throughout the successful delivery of content at a cost effective price.  TriAccess low-noise RFIC amplifiers save up to 50 percent on power consumption and have one-third of the footprint requirements of other solutions to meet the needs for a variety of network technologies which includes Switched Digital Video (SDV), to Video On Demand (VoD), to DOCSIS-based Edge QAM systems.”

The TriAccess family of highly-reliable RFIC amplifier solutions also addresses external needs, such as signal losses induced by enhanced media-over-coax (MOCA) deployments, and facilitates a number of proprietary in-home multimedia distribution architecture models currently being designed and tested within the CATV industry.  TriAccess RFICs are designed to manage the increasing requirements of households with multiple HDTV sets, satellite links, DVR connections, and other features throughout the home, including picture-in-a-picture that call for active splitter amplifiers to maintain high-quality video signals over separate distribution paths.

TriAccess’ growth plans include key personnel additions at its headquarters.  “We expect to bring onboard key talent in the form of highly-specialized RF applications engineers, internal operations specialists, and customer-facing sales professionals to support our customers and deliver the aggressive product plan outlined in our roadmap,” said Mr. Kegerreis.  “We’re all about curb-to-carport amplification, and our product portfolio is expanding rapidly to fill customer needs throughout the network.”

TriAccess Technologies’ complete portfolio of products and solutions will be demonstrated in booth #1550 at the The Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition and The National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (OFC/NFOEC) in San Diego, California March 22-26.
