Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to fill out a questionnaire? - It is important for the estheticians to be aware of any existing health issues or medications, so that they may personalize your spa experience without conflict.

When should I arrive for my appointment? - We suggest that you arrive thirty minutes prior to your appointment to allow you extra time to change and fully experience your spa treatment.

What is the procedure if I must cancel an appointment? - A 48-hour notice must be given to cancel spa appointments. Spa services are provided by sought after professional estheticians . Please pay us the courtesy of a phone call if you must cancel.

What are the cancellation policies and fees? - We require a 24-hour cancellation notice or a $25 cancellation fee will be charge No-shows will be charged $50. Scheduling an appointment is your acceptance of these policies. All services need a credit card to guarantee a reservation, so please have a Visa or MasterCard ready for your booking.

Referrals - Our practice has grown because of our patients' kind referrals. We encourage you to recommend our office to your family and friends. We always have time to care for a new patient.

If your doctor has referred you, He will promptly receive a letter outlining our findings and the course of treatment. We encourage you to return to your referring doctor after our specialized care is complete.

X-Rays - If your physician has taken X-Rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.

In Case of Emergency - A vital part of our service is being available for your emergency needs. Please explain your problem to our receptionist, who will arrange an immediate appointment for you.

Life-threatening events needing immediate attention: call 911.  For less urgent problems after hours, you may still reach us by calling 707.545.1555.

Scheduling - We ask that you schedule an initial evaluation with the doctor. At that time questions will be answered, the necessary procedure is determined and discussed, a short health history is taken and we will schedule you for a surgical procedure if you so desire. The surgery may be done in our office or at the hospital. After surgery you will usually have one or two post-operative appointments to check your recovery.

Occasionally, we experience emergency scheduling of patients involved in accidents and other acute emergencies. We do try to stay on schedule; however, there are instances when even the best of planning cannot control your waiting room time. In case of a long wait or unanticipated emergency, we will be happy to reschedule another convenient time for you.

Surgical & Anesthesia Instructions - Before Intravenous Anesthesia Sedation

  • You may not have anything to eat or drink (including water) for eight (8) hours prior to the appointment.
  • No smoking at least 12 hours before surgery. Ideally, cut down or stop smoking as soon as possible prior to the day of surgery.
  • A responsible adult must accompany the patient to the office, remain in the office during the procedure, and drive the patient home. 
  • The patient should not drive a vehicle or operate any machinery for 24 hours following the anesthesia experience. 
  • Please wear loose fitting clothing with sleeves which can be rolled up past the elbow, and low-heeled shoes.
  • Contact lenses, jewelry, and dentures must be removed at the time of surgery.
  • Do not wear lipstick, excessive makeup, or nail polish on the day of surgery.
  • If you have an illness such as a cold, sore throat, stomach or bowel upset, please notify the office.

If you take routine oral medications, please check with Doctor Chu prior to your surgical date for instructions.
